I notice that in the Physical Science section of the AAMC test that many times I would answer a question based on common knowledge. For example if the wavelength increases what happens to the frequency? I know there is an inverse relationship between the two so I would choose the answer that would state that. But as I go over the explanations of the answer it would say if you look at table 2 you would see that there is an inverse relationship blah blah blah. My question is do the questions always pertain to the passage and table/graphs used? Do we even need to read the passage (unless we really don't know the answer)?

Perhaps that's one of the main differences between the aamc practice tests and the actual thing. During the actual thing you will notice that there are barely any giveaways where you just answer the passage question from common sense
