My school has a subscription to this for us, and there are like 6000+ questions. I've done a couple short blocks just to check it out, but not really enough to get a great feel for it. The price is right though.

So my goal over the next week is to identify my weaknesses and take measures to address them. I've already got a pretty decent idea of what needs work:

Immuno
Micro
Biochem
Pharm

Not that I'm awful at these things, but I'm talking about stuff that is primarily based on sitting down and memorizing lists. Like which cytokines do what. Which bugs produce a toxin that _______ whatever. Stuff like that I feel like you can't really see enough.

Supposedly the questions are taken from something called "Pre-test". I've never heard of it.

Anyone have any experience with this thing? It isn't something I am planning to use for a primary source or anything. Mostly just repetition. But if its full of errors, or they don't keep it up to date, that would be a good reason not to mess with it.

my school also has a subscription to this service so i messed around a little bit with it. the universally agreed upon best resource for step 1 is usmle world, but this provides a good supplementary source of questions.

most of the questions come from the PreTest series, which I think was originally designed for step 2, but expanded to offer step 1 subjects. still, i think the strongest area of the pretest series, and thus usmleasy is step 2 CK. this is what I plan to use studying for step 2 (i'm a 3rd year now). i might also be forced to drop the $400 and buy the year subscription to u-world step 2...

My school had a subscription to exammasters and it was absolutely awful. Honestly, just use the best resources available, eg uworld, rx, or kaplan. Don't let the minor cost of a test bank get in the way. This is only the most important test of your life.
