Did anyone hear from them?

I emailed them because I hadn't heard from either them or AustraLearn. Finally emailed them and they said that my application hadn't even gone through...WTF!

Got an email today saying "your credit average didn't meet out minimum requirements for the MBBS program"...

I've calculated and recalculated with every possible combination. I'm well above the minimum in both MCAT and GPA. If my average is high enough for a Canadian school where they look at ALL four years, how are my last three years (which are the better of the four) not eligible for USyd who puts a 2.7 minimum?

Sorry for the rant...I sent a pretty pissed off email back to the admissions officer, I just wanted to know if anyone else had come across this with their application experience. Kind of happy to be honest....really disorganized, who loses a med school application that's been paid for in full?

I'm not upset that I got rejected. I'm more upset that I paid for a service (my application to be reviewed) and it didn't until I myself followed up on it. I applied through AustraLearn and sent the application through them, as far as I understood, international students were not to make calculations for their grades. I just feel like USyd is copping out with this rejection based on "not meeting requirements" which I know I did.

If this were me without an acceptance elsewhere I'd be devastated and I'd hate for this to happen to someone who is still waiting for an acceptance from other schools because it's so nerve wracking.

I'm being picky and annoying but honestly, $100 is enough money for someone to look over a file...

Like I said it's just the principle of it. I know people who have had way less than me be accepted so I was a little surprised to get he email. I think since you applied through Acer you had to, I used a company in the US that handles it.

I emailed them to follow up. Like I said, I just want to know the real reason and to let them know that what happened with my file is unacceptable and shouldn't happen to others.

Have you heard from other schools Canuck?

Yeah a friend got an interview for monash but he didn't want to pay to fly out there.
