I interviewed at UT Houston. Quite honestly, it's a pretty good program for a program that does not have a stand-alone children's hospital. It does however have MD Anderson as part of their program which is a plus. But, by talking to the residents, they will tell you straight off the bat that they work VERY hard. LOTS of call as an intern. (And no, I'm not like expecting no call, but come on, Q-4 times 10 months!) But, houston is a great town (If you speak spanish). I don't know anything about galveston.

I know a resident at UT-Houston and she's very happy. Says that the attendings are great teachers. Don't know anyone at Galveston.
