Hello! Does anyone have any experience/knowledge about applying to this school as a resident?

I will be moving there soon because my boyfriend is getting his PHD at UTK. I haven't decided whether or not I will apply to vet school, but I am definitely moving to Tennessee.

Would it be difficult to gain resident status to apply as an in-state student?

It shouldn't be difficult as long as you aren't currently moving there for your own school purposes (i.e. you aren't going to school there). You'll have to double check but most states/schools require a year of residency to be considered a resident for tuition. You'll likely need to register you car, have proof that you own a house or are paying rent there, and proof that you have a job there.

The best thing would be to contact the school directly to ask about their requirements!
