Okay, so I am really torn between these two programs. I've gotten a couple of responses on a previous thread about which of these programs is better and the consensus seems to be UTMB but I am not really sure of the reason, anyone with any insight into which program has better training, and if in the "real world" when it comes time to get a job which program will be better for having more of an influence (reputation wise), both instate and out of state? UT houston has great hospitals to train at, so I am puzzled about why they are not as well esteemed as UTMB. I think I can get probably equally good training at both, or am I wrong about this? anyone, please help me with some detailed info, especially if you are graduated from residency and have interviewed residents from different programs - how are these individual programs viewed? sorry to be so long winded but I will have to make a decision for ranking, and I am truly torn. thanks in advance for your help and patience.
