Hi Guys,

I got invited to Interview at UVA but almost 3 months from now.

Has this happened to anyone?
Is it normal?

I am just scared that it is a mess up and that I will be at a disadvantage since the school is rolling.

well, call them to see if you can get an earlier interview.

Try calling. They may have had cancelations for the next few weeks, which you wouldn't know about unless you call.

I got an invite from VCU in Sept for an interview in Jan. Some schools rank their interviewees, which determines when they want to interview you.

You can always reschedule that. I got an interview from them in mid-october and scheduled it for the beginning of december. it just depends on what's open

They only interview 6 people per day in their interview groups. And once you are interviewed, you have about a 60% chance of getting in (even higher if you are in state). So I wouldn't really worry about the late date, I'm sure it was just the earliest they could have seen you. Congrats on the interview, and have fun in Charlottesville!

I have to wait until January for my Pitt interview, so I don't think that's all that uncommon.

Case emailed me on 11/6 to schedule an interview for December because that was the earliest they had any openings, well I called the very next day and the earliest date was in January so I'll be interviewing then...I believe they schedule you when they have available slots so I wouldn't worry about it. Look at it this way the great thing is that you have an interview and you have enough time to prepare for it properly...Good Luck 🙂
