Can anyone from UVA help me out here?

My med school is trying to start up a study abroad office (mainly for international rotations) and we're getting in touch with other schools to get ideas as to the best way to set up such an office. I seem to recall being impressed with the international opportunities available at UVA when I interviewed there, so I volunteered to look into UVA. I've been searching the UVA website and have found some info on the Center for Global Health. Is that the office that UVA students go through if they want to do an international rotation? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Yes, the Center for Global Health helps arrange international electives at UVA. Here's a link to the page from our student handbook that has the information regardign international electives, with a link to the Office for International Medicine/Center for Global Health.

I know Dr. Richard Guerrant is one of the leading faculty involved in the program, and our Associate Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Richard Pearson is also involved, so they might be useful contacts for you.

Hope that helps!
