Can someone explain to me why aldosterone suppression is not also a correct answer, since inhibition of 11-B-hydroxylase should technically suppress aldosterone production.

the questions asks what is the cause of the increase in 17-OHS....you are right in that Aldosterone will be decreased with Metyrapone but that doesn't lead to the increase in the graph. The increase is due to less negative feedback to the pituitary by cortisol and thus an increase in ACTH.
