I've only got 2 weeks of dedicated study time to study for Step 2. I bought Step up to Step 2 but realized that since I'm so slow at reviewing UWorld blocks (and have almost all of the 2000 questions to do), I don't even have time to go through it. So I've just been doing UWorld everyday for 8days now and my scores aren't really improving. They're mostly in the mid sixties, sometimes higher, sometimes lower.

I got in the 230s on Step 1, so I was hoping to break a 240 on Step2...but I'm starting to get really worried 🙁. Don't I need to be averaging in the 70s for that kind of score?

Anyone have any advice?

Keep at it. Try and get through as many of these as you can because they really are high yield. Mid 60's isn't bad, just remember that the point is too learn as much as you can. With two weeks of doing Uworld, your score should go up. You can always do the self assessment to see where you are at.

One of the great things about UWorld is that most of the 2000 questions cover concepts that are somewhat unique. They don't often test you on the same topic multiple times (although they do occasionally). That means that doing 4-500 questions probably won't improve your UW score much because every concept you see will still be pretty new. By contrast, it WILL improve our Step 2 score because you've covered so many concepts that have a tendency to be tested.

Yes, you need around 70% to be sure of 240+
Keep working on UW and you will see that your score will improve as you go forward.
I started with 65% and by the time I was at 80% of the questions my score was 69% and then 75% at the end. You are doing it right just don't panic and have faith in yourself.

Just try to get through as many questions as you can with UW. I would forget about the book and just do questions. Almost everyone does better on Step 2 compared to step 1, usually with significantly less prep.

Similar to you, I studied for 2 weeks, ONLY used USMLE world, and did 10 points better than my step 1 score.

If you haven't already done it, do a couple full practice tests simulating the exam on UW then review everything you missed... that will get you through more questions quickly and will help with the stamina aspect of the exam since you probably haven't had to sit for 9 hours answering questions in a while 🙂

I did about 65% of UW during clerkships over the year and was at 53% (usually I would start in 40's then go up to 60's through clerkship)...

I reset the qbank for Step 2- have done about 20% over the last 5 days and am at 60%... I sure hope it goes up because I really want over 225 on this exam. Any advice? I got 77% on the Free 150 (Med Friends said 204). Was anywhere from upper 60's to mid 70's on my Shelf's.

Thanks!
