Hey guys,

I'm about to sign up for Uworld but I had a couple of questions from you guys that have it. I'm planning to get a 2 month subscription with the self assessments. I want to get through the qbank at least twice.

1. I want to first go through the qbank in untimed tutor mode and do the qbank by systems, writing down notes for anything I miss and then learning these notes.

2. I then plan to do the whole qbank on timed random blocks with an accurate percentage at the end.

Can I even do the qbank on random timed after going through it once on untimed tutor?

Will going through the qbank the first time skew the percentage when I go through the qbank the second time on random timed?

Thanks guys.

good plan

It won't be an accurate percentage as far as predicting your score. But who cares? the point of doing qbanks is to learn the material/lean how the material is presented in questions, not to predict your score. If you want to predict your score, use NBMEs.

you can change the way you take your tests (tutor, timed etc.) at any time.

I'm not positive, but I think that UWorld only lets you reset the qbank if you get a 6 month or longer subscription, so your options for this plan are to buy two one month subscriptions or a six month, whichever is cheaper. good luck

You're right. I'm just going to go ahead and get a 2 month and learn from it and save the NBMEs and UW SA's for seeing where I stand. Thanks for the advice!
