Court Rules VA Must Pay for Veterans' Emergency Room Care
The Department of Veterans Affairs must reimburse veterans for emergency care at non-VA facilities. The ruling could be worth billions of dollars.
Was established just yesterday (9/11) for those vets using your benefits and had an ER visit outside of a VA facility, you are entitled to be reimbursed for any out of pocket expenses. Just wanted to give those a heads up since I already know a few people taking advantage of the new ruling when you go to school in a location far from help (let alone if your in the middle of transitioning, vacation, job transportation, etc).
As you use your education benefits, keep this in mind in case life happens. An actually new ruling I am more than in favor of.
