Can someone tell me my chances of getting into UVA med school. Or Georgetown. Thanks!
-GPA: 3.77(cumulative); 3.7 (Science)
-MCAT: 30 (11 PS, 11 BS, 8 VR, N writing)
-went to UVA undergrad and majored in Biochemistry
-Researched through the med school (studying fusion proteins and their link to leukemia. I was actually involved in the research not just cleaning beakers)
for 1.5 years at UVA
-Black belt in Karate
-Worked at a daycare part time for 2 summers
-Hired as a scribe for iNOVA hospital for my gap year (working 40 hrs a week starting in september)
-Hired as a UVA employee this summer to introduce Mathematica (a science software) into the General Chemistry course at UVA next fall

-GREAT LOR from 3 science professors
- volunteered at a preschool through Madison house (one semester)
-Echols scholar/graduated with distinction
-published to an E-book that accompanies the Biochemistry textbook at UVA
-published to TOPSAN (an online protein databank) for functionally characterizing a protein in my Biochemistry lab

Sorry, forgot to say that I'm just now submitting my primary application. I wasn't sure if I was going to apply this cycle or not. How much will it hurt me that I'm late in applying?

Objectively, if I were you, I would take a long look at VCU and Eastern Virginia. Georgetown is a crapshoot (11000+ applications per year), and your MCAT score is below 10th percentile for accepted students at Virginia. In addition, you are lacking in clinical experience *at this point* (unless you forgot to list something above).
