How much does GHHS matter for IM residency? I just got accepted today so was just wondering

Go to the selecting applicants for interview tab. It looks like GHHS will give you a bigger boost than AOA.

Anecdotal:
In my experience, GHHS is a nice little addition but not having it won’t hurt. AOA (contrary to the above survey) is more heavily discussed in my residency program during interviews at least. There’s a check box on our note sheets “AOA: YES or NO.”
Again not having it won’t hurt (some schools don’t have it or have gotten rid of it for various reasons, some political that I don’t care to discuss). But having it means more to us than the survey suggests.

Congratulations! GHHS was more difficult to get than AOA at my school. AOA was almost 16% of our class and GHHS was around 12%. GHHS is not a popularity contest as many people mentioned on Sdn in past posts.
