Is it on the naplex? You know ...with those complex equations. Or will they keep it simple with something like a loading dose of vancomycin and extended interval dosing of aminoglycosides?

I took the NAPLEX yesterday. I did not have any questions in which I had to dose vanco or gent using any complex equations. That doesn't mean those questions aren't out there; I just didn't get them.

I didn't get those and don't know anyone that did. I think it would be hard for them to have those questions because the answers can vary a bit.

I think they only give you the easy calculations that could be done in less than two minutes .(dosing based on Kg, how much volume to add to IV, IV flow rates(make sure you know this one inside and out) ...(k-elimination, yes.. T 1/2), how much drug would be left after certain time) if they are too complicated to be done in 2 minutes, I don't think it will be on exam...but its still nice to know them just in case they ask a question related to it! yes....know absorption, distribution, metabolism, elimination processes!
