I interviewed at Vanderbilt on 11/15 and have still not heard back. Has anyone here who interviewed ON or AFTER 11/15 heard from Vanderbilt? if so, should I be expecting a rejection letter in my mailbox when i get back to school next month?

i interviewed on 10/29 and just recieved a waitlist notification; i was pretty bummed, but i think you should expect to wait another 2 wks or so...

Yes, I aqree. I interviewed on 12/13 and they told us it would take them about 6 weeks to make a decision. They do waitlist a lot of people. In fact, all three students who took us on the campus tour came off the waitlist.

Hi, did you ask them how they got preference on the waitlist and when does that list start moving? Im not surprised alot come off waitlist; vandy is def. a good school but it seems like alot of those they let in are gonna go elsewhere and the fact that it is in tenn. kinda keeps some that get in away...

No, I didn't ask. I figured I'd wait until I would hear from them. Vandy is a great school and they interview a lot of top applicants. There was 13 people interviewing with me and I was one of only 2 who were from state schools. The others came from Dartmouth, Harvard, Wake, etc., so I think that's why they have to waitlist a lot of people to fill their class. I agree that the Nashville weather probably turned off some applicants. The California people interviewing with me were freezing

hey im from california and I quite liked the weather but then again i was there at the end of oct. In my batch there were only 3 or 4 state schoolers including me🙂

I was there in December and it was about 45 degrees and very windy. Then again, I'm from Canada 😉

Hey Matt, did you hear from them yet? I also interviewed at Vandy on 11/15, and I'm still waiting.... They told us we would hear in about 8 weeks, right? I'm hoping they might just be going more slowly than they expected. (crossing my fingers)

hey i have an interview there next week, did you guys waive your right to see ure recs after marticulation, and also how did your right your autobiography? In order or jump around, was it events important to you considering going into medicine or just overall, thanks

Hey Matt, did you hear from them yet? I also interviewed at Vandy on 11/15, and I'm still waiting.... They told us we would hear in about 8 weeks, right? I'm hoping they might just be going more slowly than they expected. (crossing my fingers)

I interviewed before 11/15 and received notification yesterday, which was 8.5 weeks. Just to give you a ballpark...anyway, good luck! 🙂
