Surprise!!! Here I am, hahaha. Anyway, yeah, I've actually talked to a number of VCU applicants (around 5) and none so far that I have talked to have finished their fafsa either so don't worry about it too much. As far as a deadline, I don't know if there really is one, although I've heard from other schools (namely Baylor) that if you wait too long then you run the risk of not qualifying for some loans as they would have been exhausted due to the late timing of fafsa submittal. Just remember that when you fill out your fafsa that you will need your parents info, even if you're independent, even if you're married, and even if you have kids. A D2 friend of mine at VCU told me that all the D1's were complaining about having to get their parent's info for fafsa. That said, start bugging your parents now because I've been ready to finish my fafsa for like 3 days now and am still waiting on my dad's (mom is deceased) info...ugh! Lastly, just remember that the financial aid lady at VCU told us that it would be a good idea to file our taxes from last year before you guestimate on your 2007 earnings on fafsa. I remember her saying something about how even slightly incorrect figures on your fafsa could cause problems. Anyway, good luck with everything!
