hi,

I am a first year science student at UBC and was interested in taking the PCAT exam this January. I looked the sample exam and noticed that i needed major improvement in the verbal ability section. I was planning to order these three books?
1) Examkrackers MCAT verbal reasoning
2) Examkrackers MCAT 101 passages
3) KAPLAN GRE Exam verbal workbook

DO you think these books will help me improve and get me prepared for the verbal reasoning section on PCAT? Does any one have any ideas of any other books or vocab flashcards that can be purchased?

Thanks a lot
Hersh

A lot of people have been saying that Dr. Collins helped them to a great extent on this August PCAT exam. I didnt use Dr. Collins, but whoever did said it really helped. So, you should def. try getting that to assist you with the verbal section.

Also, read as much as you can. You have plenty of time till January, and whenever you come across unfamiliar words, look them up. PCAT professor is helpful as well, you have to purchase it all online, but once you do, you'll find a lot of exams to practice every section. Focus on the verbal section as much as you can, and once again - whatever words you dont know make sure you look them up and familiarize yourself with them!

If Verbal is the only section that is giving you trouble, don't worry so much, because UBC only looks at comp. ^_^.
Um...I'm not sure, but I used SAT books to help study...
