For those who did well on verbal and have time left, how did you approach this section. What did you do to prepare yourself?
Thanks

i scored a 12 on the verbal and i just took practice tests to prepare. i used several of the old aamc ones and 2 or 3 kaplan the week of the test. i focused mainly on biological sciences and physical sciences and hoped that those would increase my score, but i did the best in verbal. go fig =)

I agree with the practice test strategy. Also, just read a lot. Even when reading for fun, be an active reader and mentally go over what you are reading.

I scored an 11 S (not that the S is relevent to this), and my best piece of advice would be to learn how to increase the speed with which you read! Each time you take a practice test, read it more quickly than the last. Also, don't be afraid to retake practice tests, with your aim being to increase speed. Good luck.
