I am using a friend's account because I am interested in applying to med school. I am new to SDN. I took pre-reqs a year ago, but got married and moved out of my home state for my wife's new job. I want to finish pre-reqs and apply to med school next fall. I need to take Org 1 and Org 2. I do Org 1 in the spring and Org 2 in the summer. A problem arises because Org 2 does not finish until August. A few questions:

Can I do well on the MCAT without Org 2? I will try to take it late spring/early summer after Org 1. I already took gen chem, physics, bio and did very well.

What is the verification process like? Do I have to wait until Org 2 is finished to submit my transcripts to AMCAS? What is the order of the process - Ex: Fill out AMCAS and grades and then send transcripts to AMCAS for verification?

Thanks for being my pre-med advisor because I am in between schools right now and do not have one.

Orgo 2 is the one class that I do not think you need for the MCAT. You may need it to graduate, and medical schools want it as a prereq, but the orgo on the MCAT isn't too bad. A review book could teach you the few reactions past orgo 1 that you will need to know.

You can submit your application without the grades from orgo 2, just list it as a current or future class (depending on when you submit your application).

Try to get the application and transcripts submitted as soon as you can, that way you can be in the front of the line for verification. The application doesn't change much between years, so log into AMCAS now and see what you will need to supply for information/experiences/PS/whatever else. Keep in mind that AMCAS doesn't save data between years so just use it as a reference for what you need to do. Save everything in a word document for quick input.
