Does anyone know of any good vet student blogs? One I check occasionally is vet2be.com, he's a second year at MN (my IS school) so it's pretty interesting to read. Any other recommendations? 🙂

Here's a shameless plug for my own pre-vet blog, which only has a couple of pages of posts as of now cause I just started it this summer. 🙂
It's the summer after freshman year college, so I thought it would be cool to start a blog this early and talk about everything I experience along the way!

Those of you who use tumblr, follow me? I picked it for the multimedia accessibility. 🙂

Read that first one about the racehorse and the braiding of its mane... well done- I've bookmarked you!

TnB: what's the correct URL for the one you mention (I'd like to check it out)?

I started one two years ago or so when I decided to go this route, but since I'm a student in name only so far, I think I'll wait and post it here in another year or so. 🙂

It looks like they have lost the domain. You can still read a few if you google vet2be and look for cached pages from within the blog, but that's hardly conducive to reading in order, etc.

Sad!

The link to mine is in my signature now. Haven't started school yet, so it isn't exactly a vet student blog yet but I do make an attempt to post regularly. Someone sent me a PM and said they liked it so I figured I'd throw it out there 🙂

I have a blog. It's nothing special, just a way to keep my in-laws updated from half-way across the country. I don't think I even talk about school that much. I always have stories I want to write on there but then I think of the ways it could bite me in the butt if the wrong prof read it lol. You can check it out if you want, but I warn you, I am not the best writer. www.petdoctobe.wordpress.com

I recently have delved into the world of blogging. My friend has a casual blog that highlights her awkward life, and it is hysterical. After reading SDN for so long and finding blogs of people who are in vet school in the UK, I decided to make my own! Much like others, it is meant for people back in the states to read so they can follow my epic journey. I hope it maybe will help someone someday like all those other ones I had read during my application process (shout out to flyhi, her blog was great).
bon appetite!

TrocarKarin, I just finished reading your blog today. It's awesome! 🙂

Not to say it's all that thrilling right now but here's mine:

doodlesfromthepeanutgallery.blogspot.com

It's randomness of crafty stuff, my pets and my vet school journey (to officially start this fall!)

Been checking a lot of your blogs out and will be adding them to my feed.... always enjoy the different perspectives and writing styles...

Here's the link to my blog: http://mydvmvacation.blogspot.com/

It's about my experiences at Ross and in St. Kitts as well as a lot of unrelated material. If you want to read specifically about my first impressions of the island/university look toward the beginning of the archives.

Otay, here's mine. I've not actually made it known to anyone yet, so feel honored!

www.diaryo***oatherdess.blogspot.com

So far it's mostly goatherdessing and my adventures finishing up undergrad... and one post for this summer and then me trying to get in the habit of writing each day.

Oh my it censored part of my web address. Holy cow I didn't even notice that.

Okay, so my blog is Diary Of a Goatherdess. Take out the spaces.

Love the description of your Great Pyrenees running around your apartment, Goatherdess!

Here's mine, but like Goatherdess, I'm new to it. Also, mine has a mix of jogging, wedding stuff, and (soon) vet school. I'm not the most creative/funny/entertaining writer, but whatev.

My blog, as of last week. http://myfouryearsandcounting.blogspot.com/

I've been really bad at blogging in the past. I'm hoping to actually keep up with this one. It will probably be strictly vet school stuff as my mom has the address and for the privacy of my housemates.

the saunders book is ginormous! thanks for the step stool idea, next time i'm too short to reach something in my room i am totally stacking all my books together-that should definitely give me about 2 feet!

Mine's in my signature...feel free to check it out or Google it:

ooohhh, I just decided I want to go into the life of a Pre-Vet student but I also won't be starting school yet- I'm at a CC right now.

I wanted to start a blog today~~ because today is the deadline I gave myself, to really choose what I want to do in life! 🙂 Goodluck to you!

I seee. I only have 1 post so far haha but I'm still so far from applyin for vet school:/ what major are you taking ? undergrad right?

Yea, I'm a freshman studying animal science. I'm also thinking about a history and religion minor..

I chose that one because even if I don't make it not vet school, I still want to do something animal related with my major. We have so many hands on classes here that I think it will teach me a lotneven if I don't end up going to vet school. I love it. It's awesome. 🙂

ohhh yea, me too! I want to do something in the animal career but~ I don't know what else would be good? :/

I'd love to work at a big barn, either with horses or with cows. So I'm trying to get internships for the beef, dairy and equine industry to get more experience and maybe make some connections that could help me later.

Just google what you could do with the different animal/science related majors and look more into it.

http://veterinarylegacy.blogspot.com/ this is one that one of my professors keeps up. He writes about just about everything vet related. Je was a past Dean and really loves to share his knowledge with students, he is my favorite tutor group leader/professor so far!!
