Is it worth learning all of the virus classes? I seem to have the viruses down pretty well, but learning all the classes is such a chore. How many questions can you expect to see, give or take on virus classes? Im taking COMLEX and USMLE, and I know the COMLEX loves micro.

I had 2 questions on viruses and neither dealth with structure or class. There were just straight up, person has this and this, what is the most likely viral infection.

That's quite a relief! Anyone else have similar experiences on COMLEX? Man, if I don't have to memorize those things, I won't waste time or brainspace!

knowing the class will help you solve the question. They give you a clinical case and they also give you the particulars of the virus (positive strand RNA, enveloped, single strand). You may be able to figure out the answer based on the clinical case which could be vague without knowing the classes of viruses.
