Iwant to know When do you aplly for J1,What is the waiver.Do you really have to come back after finishing a program?

Yes J1 visa does not allow you to go on any other status after the duration is over. If you are coming to work here then H1 is the best option.

Hi joseph.
If you have a J1 waiver,incase u are a physician.. After you finish your program they let u work in an underserved area in the United states for 3 yrs instead of going back to your home country for 2 yrs.
