Hello everyone,

I’m new to this forum. I am currently on H4 visa and planning to enroll for residency/DDS programs. Once I get enrolled your visa changes to Student visa. My concern is it my name is on my spouse’s green card application, will that be a problem in me getting a student visa? As green card nullifies the whole purpose of non immigrant student visa?

You don't necessarily need a student visa, you can study on H4.

And once I graduate I can directly apply for H1B?
