Visiting U.S.A.

Hi there ,,
i am a 5th year medical student & i am also preparing for the USMLE . i have a plan to visit the U.S.A. during this October for about 2 or 3 weeks. does anybody have ideas or suggestions so i can get benefit from the trip as much as i can? my provisional plan is to visit Boston. i need opinions about :
1- other states to visit
2- places to stay in. is it better to stay in a hotel or rent a house.
3- how could i benefit from the trip in my preparation for the USMLE ? i need to know more about the American life and also about the health system
