so volunteering/extra curriculars is a factor in admissions but what if you had extensive experience before, and are now working?

Example:
Undergrad: 2002-06
-member (president one year) of a small club (included period volunteering)
-leadership program (4 years, volunteering required to complete)
-student government

-peace corps volunteer

Now:
-pharmacy technician studying for pcats and completing remaining prereqs

assuming gpa/pcat/etc. is "good", should i still look to volunteer? or would admissions look at that experience and say "why didn't you volunteer recently"?

You don't really have to worry too much about it. You have pharmacy related work experience, you should be fine. Not everybody has a lot of free time to volunteer.

You were in the peace corps, that says it all. You are more than just fine.

most pharmacy schools allow you to put any extracurricular activities that you've done within the last 5 years--however, you can state some of these other things in your personal statement or something. I think being a part of the peace corp is really admirable 🙂

alright sweet. thanks for your help. now it's on to the pcats....
