I've been a CNA at a fairly large hospital for a little over 6mo. now. It's been amazing clinical experience and I've learned a ton.

Anyway, I know you need volunteer hours for med school. Would it be redundant to volunteer at a hospital since I already work at one? Should I focus on volunteering elsewhere?

Personally, I recommend non-medical volunteer work, preferably in something you are passionate about. There is merit in both clinical and non-clinical, though.

I would suggest volunteering at a free medical clinic. This is what I'm doing right now --- so far I'm enjoying it!
