volunteering

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
As long as you are working one on one with patients and helping them, either will be fine. With one you'll effect mental well-being and with the other you'll effect physical well-being. Decide which appeals to you more.

i like the both positions actually, so would it look good if i took both?

It would probably look better if you did one of the activities for a sustained, long period of time than two of them for a short while. If you can do both, why not get more exposure.

it's really not about what looks good or impressive...it's about what YOU want to do because ultimately when you're interviewing you want to say what you got out of the experience and to be able to do that i think you should really like what you have done...i have asked admissions ppl if it "looks good" to have things like research, volunteering etc. but they have told me that its what you've learned from the experiences that matter because that's where they see your passion for medicine...if you keep doing what is 'impressive" you might end up miserable...and honestly asking such a question loses sight of the drive to go into medicine...admissions has also said in response to questions such as this: "the goal is to become a practicing physician not to get into medical school" Believe me, they will like what ever you choose! Good luck!
