Hey guys, so I was taking a summer class in Statistics because it was the only class that I could retake at my CC although I already had a B in the class. After realizing it was not going to be worth it, I dropped the class. However, now they are telling me I didn't drop it in time although it was only a week into the class. They have given me a W for it and now I am very worried as I have never had a W before. However, my transcripts from this CC were already sent to AACOMAS and the W is obviously not on there. Where do I go from here? Since I am considering taking classes in the Fall if I am not getting any love from schools by that time. Or should I just not try and take any more classes so that I do not have to submit another transcript that shows the W?

Just FYI this is typical policy for dropping summer courses because summer courses are everyday. So a week's worth of class in Fall or Spring is about 2-3 days in Summer term.

I don't think it will be a big deal, but you will have to send the transcript with the W if you get accepted somewhere. Eventually, someone will see it. Just have a good answer ready if they ask about current coursework in a interview. It's not like you're making up a failing grade or a C for that matter.
