I have been placed on the waist list for a couple of schools (Shenandoah (winchester), st.scholastica, carrol college, St. Augustine (Austin, Texas), and Hofstra so far no acceptances. Anyone know of the chances getting off the wait list for any of these schools?
 
I'm just curious- did you have an interview with Hofstra before you got waitlisted? Sorry this isn't answering your question but I wish you luck!

yes I did a Skype interview before I was wait listed

I got wait listed a few days after the interview. I thought it went well but who knows the process seems random at times.
