I'm retaking my MCAT on July 9th, which has a score release date of August 9th. I previously took the MCAT on the old scale and received a 24. Except for the new MCAT score my application is essentially complete with the exception of one letter. Now my question is do I apply now with the old score and update the schools with new one as it comes, apply now without submitting any score and send them all together later or just wait to apply completely when the scores are in?
Also a clarification with the letter, I can apply now missing one and send it later as it comes correct? If it helps I'm only applying DO and using the AACOMAS evaluation system for my letters not interfolio.

Look up submitting with a throwaway school just to get verified and then submit your app when everything is in. Waiting can be invaluable as some schools will eliminate you automatically before they ever see your new score and speaking from experience becoming uneliminated is a nightmare to perhaps impossible.

You'll be an on time applicant now or in August anyway so if you do ok on the mcat (504-507+) and the rest of your app is good you should be fine. Study the heck out of biochem and look at those pretest scores. Don't take the MCAT until ur ready!! If you get your app in by end of Sept you're still on time.

Best of Luck
