There’s a tracker on Reddit if people fill it out. Link is a page before in this thread. Or googling reddit waitlist acceptance 2018 tracker or similar should get you there. Is there a thread showing which schools have had waitlist movement?
Yes!! I am on 4 waitlist right now (2 DO, 2 MD), and I feel like none of my waitlists are moving.Anyone finding it hard to keep your hopes up when it seems like everyone is being taken off the waitlist except you lol (laughing to hide my pain 🤔)
+1!!!!
Med school here we come!!

I am feeling the same way! I am on 4 waitlists too. I have one more interview at Seton Hall but everything else is just a waiting gameYes!! I am on 4 waitlist right now (2 DO, 2 MD), and I feel like none of my waitlists are moving.
and cellphone 😀Thank you! Another link for me to neurotically check, in addition to my email haha
hanuman08, I am on the UMass list, but no word yet. I will definitely make a post if I hear from them. Let me know if you hear anything! I don't know if it is an email or a phone call.Anyone here on the waitlist for University of Massachusetts? Or if anyone knows if there has been a waitlist movement/what the waitlist movement is like? Thanks!
Me every day.*dead because laughter was not enough to hide my pain*

Congrats y'al!!!After being rejected from every school last year, retaking my MCAT, reapplying, going to interviews only to get waitlisted or rejected, I am happy to say that I have finally been accepted to my top choice!
In a similar boat. I know it depends on the school , but a lot of schools will automatically give you an interview next cycle if you got onto the waitlist in the last cycle so I'd go ahead and reapply there. I've seen several people on here get accepted after reapplying so there is hopeafter being rejected by 24 schools and sitting on 1 WL I'm getting ready to re-apply, anyone have thoughts on applying to that 1 school that WL'd me? Has anyone had any success being accepted the year after not being taken off the WL?

I think you should consider letting both of those schools know of your current situation. When explaining it to them, just be completely honest. Try to frame it in a way that doesn't make it seem like you are "desperate" for a decision, but rather you are in a bit of a bind and would appreciate a quick response.
I hope that helps!
Applying this cycle? I feel like if you made significant contributions to your app then you should be fine. Being on the WL means you were too strong to reject but they saw some things you could have worked on. I think its a good idea to include them.after being rejected by 24 schools and sitting on 1 WL I'm getting ready to re-apply, anyone have thoughts on applying to that 1 school that WL'd me? Adding onto this, making sure you have added significant things to your application is a must before you consider reapplying. If it hasn't changed or just a tiny bit, you're going to spend a lot of application money for the same results. You may however, with or without additions, be a good DO candidate and should look into that route. You me

Thats where Im stuck because I sent updates to a lot of schools and havent done much besides continued those activities. But I also heard that pre interview updates dont hold much weight so idk if my application will have a significant change or not.Adding onto this, making sure you have added significant things to your application is a must before you consider reapplying. Some WL people who reapply get accepted the next year, and some don't even get an interview. It is definitely worth throwing your name in to that school again though!
@hi-polymer
Make your own thread in the reapplicant advice thing, and give your old application, updates sent mid-season, and any other updates.Thats where Im stuck because I sent updates to a lot of schools and havent done much besides continued those activities. People mentioned it in past sdn threads and some of the schools told us during interview dayJust curious how you know a lot of schools automatically give interviews to those they've waitlisted? This sounds awesome though.
I just got off the phone with an admissions officer from mayo and she told me that updates arent very useful unless they are on the fence about sending you an II or not. And said my experience over the year will really boost my app. So I guess theres my answer haha.Make your own thread in the reapplicant advice thing, and give your old application, updates sent mid-season, and any other updates.
All 3 of the waitlists I’m on had significant May 2nd movement last year...but not a peep this year in any of the 3 threads. And no movement yesterday either.
Wondering if the SDN population is just not getting WL movement this year or (optimistically) if the schools are just on a slower schedule this year
I noticed the same thing with 1 of my schools. I think they're just slow. There's no way that nobody says anything. People love to share good news!Wondering if the SDN population is just not getting WL movement this year or (optimistically) if the schools are just on a slower schedule this year

Emory:Typical number of waitlist positions per cycle-VariesAnyone willing to share Emory/Vanderbilt/NYU MSAR please?
Also hoping for that I'm on 4 waitlists, 2 have had 2-3 people post acceptances, 1 has only one post, and the last has nothing.Hopping on the "hope it's just that WL movement is slow". 2/3 of my waitlists have had no one say anything here, and 1 had a TON of movement (but previous years didn't show much movement at all).
It's just been A Day emotionally. Best of luck to us all!!
LikewiseHaven’t seen anyone post about the schools i applied to either!!! I feel better
There isn’t anything about Emory waitlists on msarAnyone willing to share Emory/Vanderbilt/NYU MSAR please?
