What are everyones opinions on being waitlisted? I know it is better than being rejected but I am just curious what everyone thinks about being waitlisted.

I read in another thread that someone said this is when the school looks for your "Letter Of Intent", to really show how much you want to go there. So I would try that first and foremost, thank your interviewers (if you had any) and tell them how badly you want to go there as well and what they can gain from having you!

I agree that being waitlisted is much better than being rejected, it means you still have a chance. However have I mixed feelings because its like saying you are not good if to be accepted.

I got waitlisted at a school w/o even an interview. I meet qualifications but I believe those that have higher qualifications are getting the interviews - of course. Told I won't hear until the spring for interview/denial or accepted. But at least its not a rejection........ funny the connotation of a word.....
