Yup, 3 waitlists, 1 interview left, and waiting to hear back from 2 schools.
Accepted to my #2, waitlisted at my #1. I went ahead and put down a deposit on the one I was accepted to, since I was waitlisted for the bottom tier on the other one. But if they call me within the next few months with a spot, I am totally fine with losing the money from the deposit if it means getting into my #1 choice!
Anyone waitlisted by Northwestern and Duke?

4 waitlists so far and I'm still waiting to hear from 4 more schools. Purgatory is hard, but I guess it's a good test of our patience?

Yeah I’m in the top 10No. Are you in the top 10?
I’m not sure why but none of my schools so far release any information on waitlist position. But if anyone knows why I would also love to know!Kind of a random question but does anyone know why some schools don't release any information regarding waitlists? They don't tell you what number you are, or what tier, or even how many people they have taken historically?
They don't want to tie themselves down. Some of them have an unranked pool- this is a group of people we want but don't have room for yet. We'll look at them with fresh eyes once we know how much room we have.Kind of a random question but does anyone know why some schools don't release any information regarding waitlists? They may have enough variation year to year that they're hesitant to give you a number or percentage because of what you might make that number mean in your head. Basically, they're holding their cards to their chests because that's what is best for them while they work it out, even though it's hard on us.

Might be a dumb question but, what is an LOCI email?Waitlisted at #1 in december, accepted today. Sending one or two LOCI emails to the right people really helps I think.

Letter of continued interest. Essentially an email letting a school know that you are still very interested even after being placed on a waitlist.

Who did you send the LOCI emails to? The admissions director, program director, faculty, etc.?

The first time I emailed them was when I got the email that I was waitlisted and I just replied to that person who turned out to be only an office staff member/advisor (not involved directly in admissions). A month later, I emailed the admissions director (who was also faculty) and told her about my updated grades and what I'd been doing since I graduated. Finally, I emailed an academic advisor in the program asking about my chances and he gave me some pretty big hints about my status and I was accepted a day or two later. I think two or three timed emails to the right people really make a difference

Did anyone hear back from northwestern waitlist?
I am in the same position. Would you mind sharing your stats?4 waitlists so far and I'm still waiting to hear from 4 more schools. Purgatory is hard, but I guess it's a good test of our patience?
If we got wait-listed after doing interviews, does that mean we did interviewed poorly?
Not necessarily. If you are consistently placed towards the bottom tier of waitlists, i’d say there at least a few things you could probably improve. However, understand that all of your competitors are also very bright students, otherwise they wouldn’t have been selected for interviews. I’d say if you aren’t accepted, try to ask for feedback from the programs you interviewed with.
