Don't worry about what you wear. You will just be having group meetings in the auditorium and won't be judged at all. Wear something comfortable and try to be calm, it will be a lot less exciting than you anticipate. As for parking, it is on Hawthorne Road just south of business 40. If you are coming from 1st St, turn onto Hawthorne towards the hospital. immediately after going under the I-40B overpass, turn left and then take your first right. There are 2 student lots right next to each other, the upper and the lower lots. park in either one as they will hopefully be open for you guys. Then just walk up the hill and walk to the courtyard with the statue of Bowman Gray. The Babcock auditorium is right there on your right.
relax and have fun. orientation week is very laid back. enjoy all the free food and get to know people before classes start. try not to stress out. go out at night, enjoy each others company, don't worry about buying books except for whatever you'll need for gross anatomy (they're changing it this year but you'll most likely need a dissection kit, a box of gloves, and whatever manual they are deciding to use). go ahead and get your dissection kit early at the bookstore, b/c for some reason they always forget to order enough for everyone. Don't buy any books until the first week or so, b/c most of them you don't need, and you will probably get about 50 emails in the first few weeks from upperclassmen trying to sell old books.
your orientation schedule looks pretty standard. you'll get your computers on wednesday, but they give you your printers tuesday afternoon. don't ask me why, they just do. you'll be done friday after lunch.
have fun, enjoy your time, don't worry, you'll be taken care of.
