None whatsoever imo, as long as you can adjust to the time of the MCAT starting like.. two weeks before the test. Doing practice tests under those same conditions would be ideal, though.

Study when YOU work best. Who cares what everyone else does.

I would emphasize what the person above said and add that whatever you do, make sure you give yourself enough time to get your mind on a schedule where you can think sharply starting at 8am for test day.

Edit: as someone with a preferred study schedule to you, I started a rigorous routine about 2 weeks before where I would get up, jog for 20 mins to wake up, eat a good breakfast, etc. It helped test day to do the exact same thing and have my brain completely on by 8am.

I would definitely wake up early when you are taking practice tests and mimic the real exam as much as you can. But as far as other studying I think you should do whatever makes you most productive.

I do this for studying on my free days. Wake up at 5 AM, finish at like 10 AM. Off to sleep until 12-1 PM and just enjoy the rest of the day.

I think for content it doesn't matter what time I start studying but one I start doing practice passages and practice tests it would be beneficial to start it at 8 am like the actual exam
