You don’t have to apply DO
Just wondering, have you connected with mentors who are helping you with this career transition?
It’s a good list. You can maybe add a few more reach schools like Harvard, Stanford etc.
I suggest these schools with your stats:
All 4 SUNYs
Hofstra
Einstein
Mount Sinai
Columbia
Cornell
NYU
Vermont
Quinnipiac
Harvard
Boston University
Tufts
Dartmouth
Brown
Yale
Jefferson
Drexel
Temple
Pittsburgh
Georgetown
U Virginia
Duke
Emory
Miami
Vanderbilt
Washington University (in St. Louis)
Northwestern
U Michigan
Case Western
Ohio State
Cincinnati
Mayo
The Black URM applicant pool is small and there are only 120 that apply each year with a MCAT of 513 or higher and a GPA of 3.4 or higher. There are over 150 MD schools. So if they all go to top 40 schools (which only some will) then each school may have 2 per class. So if those schools want any Black students in their class they need to interview you.Thank you so much for the feedback. I was under the impression that school like Harvard, Cornell, Columbia and NYU require higher stats. Is this true?
