300 hours in a lab at university, mostly wetlab tasks like running assays
350 hours as a research assistant in clinical research, 2 second-author publications and 1 poster presentation at a national conference
100 hours in a course at school that lead to a currently pending publication (first author)

I am interested in doing some gardening where the food harvested goes to underserved communities, for example via local schools. Would this count as the kind of non-clinical volunteering that schools are looking for? Thanks!

Good catch! Things got cold and gardens shut down for the majority of the time that I would have been able to work with them, so I ended up pivoting towards food bank volunteering, which has been a great experience.

Thanks for mentioning that about Rush. Is there a way of knowing these requirements for other schools? I haven't been able to determine this kind of thing from MSAR
