Concerns -
I last applied in 2020 and got an interview at U of Arizona and they (and OSU) suggested I get a masters degree to help improve my GPA. I enrolled and am currently getting my masters degree in Comparative Biomedical Sciences and have a 3.95 GPA in that program. When I last applied my overall GPA was 2.84, last 45 was 2.82, and science was 2.81. I feel I have improved my GPA pretty substantially considering I have already completed my undergraduate degree and have retaken some classes. I am worried that the improvements still won't be good enough though and I am not sure what else I can do to improve my application if I don't get accepted this cycle.

Thanks for taking the time to give feedback!

Be careful of some programs automatically not looking at your application because you do not reach the cutoff cGPA. Your recent Masters GPA is good and if you can tailor your schools to be those that look more at last 45 GPA then that would be better. What is the breakdown in number of hours for each of your veterinary experiences? It would be different if 8990 hours were only small animal and 10 hrs in large animal so possibly this breakdown can be helpful.

There are definitely students that are able to gain acceptance with lower GPAs but it is an extra hurdle. School specific wise Colorado I’ve heard has a large amount of OOS applications and is pretty competitive so it might be not be ideal with your application to apply.
