Hello all I'm posting for a friend. He is unsure if he should apply this cycle do to his low CARS (123) score or wait for retake.
He really wants to stay in CA and wants the best chance to do so, but ultimately will be okay with going OOS if it comes to it.

State of residence: CA
Undergrad: UC
sGPA/cGPA: 4.00/4.00
MCAT: 513 (130/123/130/130)

Research:
About 500 hours in a basic science research lab. Presented a poster at a undergraduate conference at school.

Clinical Experience:
100 hours of hospital/clinic volunteering
+1000 hours of employment as a TMS tech

Shadowing:
50 hours in primary care

Non-Clinical Volunteering:
500 hours volunteering through fraternity - marathons, fundraisers, etc.
100 hours volunteering at soup kitchen for homeless
