My academic path has been non-linear. I began college without a clear direction toward medicine and later transferred into a Division 1 swimming program, where balancing academics with a demanding athletic schedule (multiple daily practices) was challenging and contributed to my undergraduate GPA.

After graduating, I completed a DIY post-bacc consisting of science coursework, earning a 3.78 GPA, which I believe better reflects my current academic ability. Since then, I have focused on gaining sustained clinical experience while also helping support my family financially.

I recognize that my undergraduate GPA and multiple MCAT attempts present challenges, and while my MCAT improvement has been modest, it has been consistent over time. At this point, I am planning to apply broadly to DO programs, any guidance on building a realistic/balance DO school list is very much appreciated <3
