WAMC-No II. Should I get ready to reapply?

I’m concerned that I’ve only heard back from one school so far (1 R). I’m looking for feedback on my app, how I can improve if I need to reapply, and what folks think about potentially receiving an II this cycle. Basically, your classic neurotic mid/late cycle WAMC.

I am ORM, NH is my app state. I took my MCAT on 7/18 because it got pushed back so much. I didn’t know how I’d do, so I applied later than I would’ve liked. I was complete from mid August through end of September. I was complete everywhere before September ended.

cGPA: 3.46
sGPA: 3.73
Post-BaccGPA: 3.96
MCAT : 513 (127/128/128/130)

I have 1.5 years bench research in a protein biochem lab, 0 pubs. I’m on an NIH funded study at my hospital. Just submitted a 1st author abstract to a big journal for review and hopefully a poster. Once we have some results (it’s just starting), will hopefully push out a real pub.

I played four years DIII lacrosse (idk if this helps, but it was on my app)

I have 7000 hours as an ICU nurse in Boston and NH.

I spent 3 years coaching local high school lacrosse as a volunteer while I worked at the local hospital as a nurse.

The interview season goes until March so you could still receive interviews. Your school list was top heavy. If you receive no interviews by March let us know and we can suggest a broader school list to apply to. You should include DO schools if you need to reapply.
