Hello,
What are my chances in getting a medical license to moonlight? I was in a residency program for 18months prior to leaving the program and program only giving 9months credit instead of 18 months due to being on academic probation after 9months of intern year. Thanks.

None...at least in the US... you need to have, at minimum, completed a full intern year to get an unrestricted license in any state.

Assuming you are a US graduate, I would try very hard to see if you can get credit for 12 months from your program. Being on probation doesn't inherently mean that you don't have 12 mos of credit across the 18 month period. Unfortunately, you are completely at their mercy with regards to whether or not they will grant it. If you are not a US graduate, most states require 2-3 yrs of GME before you can get an unlimited license.

You can also look into the Assistant Physician licenses in Missouri. Here's more info: Assistant Physician Law

Update: Thank you all for your advice. I managed to match into a different specialty- without a PD letter but with outstanding 3 LOR's from my attendings in my previous program. Hoping I get some credit even 3 months in my new program but willing to start from scratch. I am so thankful for this opportunity.
