Hello! I hope everyone is doing well with these circumstances. Please advise on my school list, I plan on taking a gap year and applying during the 2021-2022 cycle. I'm planning to scribe during my gap year and save up for applications, but if there is anything else that I could improve upon, please let me know.

Demographics
  • Race/Ethnicity: Asian female (ORM I think?)
  • Undergrad: JHU '21
  • Residence: Virginia (MUA)
  • Idk if it matters but I'm a first-generation low-income student
Stats
  • MCAT: 511 (127/129/128/127) taken Jan 2020
  • cGPA: 3.645
  • sGPA: 3.55
Activities
  • Volunteering
    • I fundraise for various charities with a student group (see below), but not sure if that would count as volunteering
    • ~30+hrs assisting an NST in the endoscopy and urology clinic
    • ~20 hrs tutoring English to middle eastern students over video chat
    • ~200 hrs as a front desk volunteer at a local free clinic
  • Research
    • 400+ hrs researching an epigenetic congenital disorder (Kabuki Syndrome) by revitalizing/maintaining the mice models and gathering experimental data.
    • ~80 hrs collecting patient data and updating databases to evaluate the quality of life for breast cancer patients.
    • ~100+ hrs assisting in diagnostic techniques for Chagas disease. My first research position so I mostly learned how to do the things/might not include in the application?
  • Shadowing - 150+ hours from breast oncology and thoracic surgery to emergency medicine. I especially enjoyed an 8-hour long esophagectomy and several overnight observations in the ER
  • Leadership
    • Comptroller general/treasurer for a major student-led group that organizes a high school Model UN conference. My fundraising team raised around $10,000 every year for a chosen charity since I've been in this position. 6+hr/wk plus a four-day conference for 3 years
    • Treasurer for Circle of Women, which focuses on advocating for girls' secondary education
  • Employment (all current)
    • Chemistry tutor for 2 years, about to be 3 years, 5hr/wk
    • Peer advisor for the academic office, focusing on providing support to first-generation students, 2 years
    • Office assistant at the alumni office, 6-10 hr/wk for four years
Schools - I have FAP, so I could apply to 20 schools. So far, I have
  1. JHU
  2. Columbia
  3. NYU
  4. UMMS
  5. CWRU
  6. UVA
  7. Boston
  8. Geisel
  9. UMD
  10. VCU
  11. VA Tech
  12. Brown
  13. NYMC
  14. Georgetown
  15. Rochester

I want to stay on the East Coast and I would really prefer allopathic schools but please advise/I would really appreciate feedback!
