chances at rutgers are not high
chances at OOS publics also not good
at minimum, you are looking at a retake and postbacc to get sGPA and BCPGPA higher, and may need SMP/retake...

I still have all of my senior year to improve sgpa where I am hoping to bring it up to a 3.2. Considering this and scoring well on a retake could Rutgers be realistic without a postbacc? I was planning to spend gap year obtaining a CDA and working full time as a surgical assistant

it depends on what you mean by "realistic" and it depends on a really big improvement in your DAT scores
have you spoken with Rutgers Admissions?

Yes I understand and agree there needs to be a significant improvement on DAT retake. By realistically, I mean what are my chances? how feasible is it?
I have reached out to Rutgers Admissions about specific questions regarding imputing my study abroad courses, but not generally about my chances .... what do you recommend I speak to them about?

... You reached out to Rutgers Admissions about study abroad, but you didn't ask them about your application chances before applying ... ???

Your sGPA/BCP GPA are subpar and is holding you back from most dental schools, including Rutgers. Contact them before you submit your application to get the most frank feedback about your chances. Do more postbac courses.

you need to first consider how realistic it is to get only 4.0 GPA over the next year AND get a GREAT score on the DAT
meaning 22+, which is a 5+ TS and 3+ AA improvement
not saying it's impossible, but it's not common
but if you do that, you will have a chance at rutgers and OOS publics, but not a high chance...

i stand by my original statement "at minimum, you are looking at a retake and postbacc to get sGPA and BCPGPA higher, and may need SMP/retake..."
sorry if that's not what you want to hear, but come back when you've completed your senior year and taken the DAT and we can revisit this discussion...
