160 Shadowing Hours at Local Clinical Abroad in Europe
~700 Total Volunteering Hours (120 Clinical + 580 Non-Clinical)

Significant leadership experience; fraternity president, completed 30-day backpacking leadership course, various exec board positions in student organizations.

Recipient of full-ride merit scholarship given to 20 students in the US

Dealt with suicidal partner & severely ill family member in poor semesters. GPA is strong in other semesters. Will explain thoroughly in personal statement.

If your MCAT is at least 500 you should receive interviews at MD schools. Post your score here when available and I will suggest schools.
 
Ack!!!! You have a ton of volunteering hours but the GPA is relatively low. If you nail the MCAT, you have a decent shot, but really try to raise that sGPA whenever you can.

Find mentors who focus on black men in medicine, beginning with SNMA.

I’d suggest getting some shadowing hours with a primary care doc in the USA. It shouldn’t be hard with your hospital contacts.. good luck.
