- My main goal is to become a Military Physician and serve the United States. I come from a military family (my Father was a Marine for 24 years) and have tried to gain experience in the military clinical setting by shadowing all military physicians. I also incorporated my patient experience at Keller Army Community Hospital (two shoulder surgeries) in my application which plays into my passion for medicine as a whole.
- Currently have a Pre-health Committee Letter and Two MD letters of recommendation, one from the MD orthopedic surgeon I shadowed and another from my EMS advisor at Fivequad, who is an emergency medicine physician. Also, have a letter from an NP I worked closely with at Albany medical center.
- Here is the big red flag- I have a conduct violation for possessing EMPTY alcohol bottles and a rice cooker. The incident occurred during a routine fire inspection of my dorm room in my sophomore year. As a result, we received a letter home and had to attend a 15-minute therapy session. I would love feedback on whether this is a nail-in-the-coffin type situation. I had mapped counseling in which DR Gray basically laughed at it
- I would also love input on MD competitiveness, although it is not strong.
- Took the Princeton Review 513 MCAT course, so if anyone has questions, feel free to ask!
