Applied last cycle (2018-2019) with only 1 interview with 507 (128/125/127/127) MCAT and same GPA. Got waitlisted. Reapplying for 2020-2021 cycle with a fresh 520 MCAT in july (131/127/131/131).
100 hours shadowing - PCP (20 hours), peds (60 hours), interventional radiology (20 hours)
450 clinical research (clinical psych) no pubs or posters
1000+ hours of private piano instruction to over 10 students in the last 3.5 years
180 hours nonclinical volunteering through premed honor club working mostly with disadvantaged neighborhoods & habitat for humanity
100 hours clinical volunteering at hospital (ER and front desk)
440 (and counting) hours as ophthalmic/surgical technician in full time employment - current
400 hours working as a part time lifeguard and pool manager for city pools over the summer
State of residence is Texas and the significant changes to my application from last year will be my MCAT and the additional clinical experience. I am looking for school list recommendations. Currently planning to apply to all texas as well as some T20s/40s in the nation. Thanks a bunch!
