After graduating I had cGPA 2.8/sGPA 2.7 with upward trend from 2.2->3.4. I have taken a year of DIY upper-level science courses with 4.0 GPA enough to lift both my GPAs over the 3.0 mark. I've taken the MCAT once in March and got a 516.
Residence is CT.
I am a hispanic immigrant and fluent in Spanish.
I worked as a part-time PCA for 1 year.
I volunteered at a free clinic as a Spanish translator (50 hrs).
I worked in underprivileged schools as an America Reads Tutor for 2 years.
I have ~100 hrs at a crisis text hotline.
I've been a full time ER medical scribe for 2 years.
I also have EMS volunteer experience though it is very scattered (~100 hrs), I have just sent several applications for part-time EMS volunteer positions.
I've also just applied to a few research positions as research is something I'm lacking in my app. Hoping to send an update with added EMS and research hours.

I'm planning on applying to DO schools, but I was wondering if I should throw in a few MD schools or not. I'm finding it hard to make a list with my low GPA and decent MCAT.

I suggest these MD schools with your stats:
UConn
Quinnipiac
Vermont
New York Medical College
Albany
Einstein
Seton Hall
George Washington
Drexel
Temple
NOVA MD
Miami
TCU-UNT
Creighton
Loyola
Medical College Wisconsin
Oakland Beaumont
Wayne State
Wright State
Indiana
For DO schools I suggest these:
UNECOM
NYITCOM
Touro-NY
LECOM (all schools)
PCOM (all schools)
ACOM
WCU-COM
MU-COM
AZCOM
TUNCOM
UIWSOM
Rowan-SOM
