-cGPA: 3.3 (with upward trend)
-sGPA: 3.3 (with upward trend)
-MCAT: 514 (127, 128, 129, 130)
State of residence: FL
White female
Clinical Experience: Patient Care Rep. (>1500 hours) paid, Clinical Research Coordinator (~200 hours and counting) paid and patient care volunteer at local hospital (200 hours)
Research: genetics research lab 400 hours
Shadowing: 100 hours (primary care, cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery and palliative care)
Other extracurricular activities: panhellenic executive board, numerous officer positions in sorority, leadership position in patient care volunteering, chemistry tutor, lab TA
Honestly I just need some help figuring out if it is worth it to apply this cycle and help with my school list. I am worried that my GPA will drag me down but all other aspects of my application seem okay to me. My GPA was tanked by my first couple semesters but I did decent in most of the important science classes (mostly As/Bs in all chem/bio/biochem classes and all upper level microbiology classes I took). I’m mostly focused on in-state MD programs (FL) and DO programs but I was also hoping to get some guidance on other OOS programs that would be worthwhile.
